Proof of Agent: what has your agent actually paid for?

Proof of Agent, Chapter One. Give your AI agent a wallet, fund it with about 5 USD, let it pay for, swap or deposit something on its own, and show us. 2,000 FDUSD across 20 winners, plus 20 FDUSD for the first 50 to fund. Entries close 23 Sep 2026.

Proof of Agent: what has your agent actually paid for?
Innovation

A lot of people have an AI agent that can plan, research, write and generate images. Far fewer have one that can pay for something. We built Agent Wallet so agents could hold their own funds and act on them, and over the last few months we have watched what people do with that: agents buying market data over x402, parking idle stablecoins in a yield vault, funding gas for a smart contract they wrote themselves.

Now we want to see yours.

Proof of Agent is a community campaign in three chapters. This is Chapter One, and the ask is simple. Give your agent a wallet, let it do something with it, and show us. The best entries share a 2,000 FDUSD prize pool, and the first 50 people to fund their Agent Wallet get 20 FDUSD sent straight to it.

What we're looking for

Show us what your AI agent paid for, swapped or deposited, on its own.

It can be as simple as the prompt you gave your agent and what it did. Or a fuller setup on a framework like aeon, or Claude Code, or anything else that speaks MCP, showing an agent that bought the data it needed, moved idle funds into yield, paid another agent for a service, or something we haven't thought of.

Small is fine. Small is often the better story. A one cent x402 payment sounds like nothing, until you follow what it unlocked: the agent hit a paywalled API mid-task, paid for the call itself, finished the job, and you turned that pattern into a reusable skill so it never has to ask you again. That chain of events is what we want to see. The payment is the proof; the story is what your agent did with it.

For inspiration, here's what an Agent Wallet can do today:

  • Pay for data or services over x402. Price feeds, market data, any endpoint that charges per request. No API key, no subscription.
  • Put idle funds to work. Deposit into the yield options in Agent Wallet and pull them back out when needed.
  • Swap. Get a quote and execute a swap between assets.
  • Send. Transfer to another person, another agent, or a deployer address, like an agent funding its own gas to ship a contract.

What do you mean "on its own"? This means your agent executed the transaction. Prompting Claude, ChatGPT or any assistant/framework connected to Agent Wallet and having it make the payment counts. Clicking confirm in a wallet interface yourself does not.

Screenshots of your agent's output and a transaction hash are welcome and will help your entry. This is called Proof of Agent for a reason. Entries that show it really happened score highest.

How to enter

  1. Follow @FD_XYZ and like the launch post.
  2. Set up your Agent Wallet at apps.fd.xyz if you don't have one. It takes 2 minutes, and the quickstart covers connecting it to whatever your agent runs on.
  3. Fund it with roughly 5 USD or the equivalent, in any supported asset on any mainnet chain Agent Wallet supports. Testnet deposits do not count.
  4. Let your agent do something with it. Pay for data over x402, put funds into yield, make a swap, send to another wallet. Anything, as long as the agent makes the transaction.
  5. Quote repost the launch post with what your agent did with its wallet, and include any one of your Agent Wallet addresses so we can verify it. Adding the prompt you gave it, the chain you funded on, and #ProofOfAgent helps us find and judge your entry faster.

Note: if you already hold stablecoins or other digital assets, steps 2 and 3 take about 5 minutes. Here's what it looks like start to finish:

All five steps are required. An entry with a missing step will not qualify.

The first 50 bonus

The first 50 people to fund their Agent Wallet after the campaign opens get 20 FDUSD sent to that wallet. No judging, no waiting for the results. If you are in the first 50 and your entry is complete, it is yours.

The fine print, kept short:

  • Funding has to happen after the campaign opens on Wed 9 Sep 2026, 14:00 UTC. We check the on-chain timestamp.
  • Funding and transactions must be on a mainnet. Testnet deposits do not count.
  • 5 USD means roughly. We are not going to argue over a few cents either way in case you funded the equivalent of ETH and price changed.
  • Already have an Agent Wallet? Welcome back. A fresh top up of roughly 5 USD during the campaign will still count.
  • The clock is on step 3. We only count people who go on to complete all five steps, so fund first and post later, but your place in the 50 is confirmed once your entry is complete.

Prizes and judging

2,000 FDUSD shared between 20 entries, paid in FDUSD directly into the winners' Agent Wallets.

  • 1st. 350 FDUSD
  • 2nd. 260 FDUSD
  • 3rd. 200 FDUSD
  • 4th-20th. 70 FDUSD

We judge on four things:

  • Real. Did the agent actually do this? An on-chain transaction hash is the best proof. A public repo or a screen recording helps. A description on its own scores lowest.
  • Useful. Does the use case show a genuine job that an agent owned wallet unlocks?
  • Clear. Could someone new follow what happened and want to try it?
  • Worth sharing. Is it a good story?

Winners are chosen by the Finance District team. We will announce them on X and pay out within 7 days of the announcement. We reserve the right to disqualify entries and move the prize to the next eligible entry.

Key dates

  • Campaign opens: Wed 9 Sep 2026, 14:00 UTC

  • Winners announced: Wed 30 Sep 2026, 14:00 UTC

The rules

We want this to be fair and we want the money to go to real people doing real things:

  • One entry per person. Anyone found using multiple accounts to enter is ineligible, and X's own rules say the same.
  • No copied, duplicate or near identical use cases. Make it yours.
  • The wallet address in your entry has to be your Agent Wallet address, not MetaMask or any other wallet. We check every submitted address against our records, and prizes can only be paid to a verified Agent Wallet.
  • Funding and transactions must be on a mainnet. Testnet deposits and testnet transactions do not qualify.
  • Wallets funded from the same source may be treated as a single entrant.
  • We choose the winners at our discretion, and if entries do not meet the bar we may award fewer prizes than listed.
  • We will verify all entries, and may disqualify anyone who breaks these rules. We reserve the right to amend or cancel the campaign if we need to.
  • Your X account must have been created before 9 August 2026. Accounts created for the campaign are not eligible.
  • Employees of Finance District are not eligible.

FAQs

Does it have to be an FD Agent Wallet? Yes. Prizes are paid into it, and the address you post is how we verify your entry.

Which chain should I use? Any mainnet chain Agent Wallet supports: EVM chains, Solana, Sui or Bitcoin. Testnets do not count. Just tell us which one in your entry. Prizes are paid in FDUSD to the EVM Agent Wallet on your account.

What if my agent used Claude, ChatGPT, or a framework like aeon or Hermes? All fine. What matters is that the agent made the transaction from its Agent Wallet.

Can I enter more than once? One entry per person. Pick your best.

I funded my wallet but did not make it into the first 50. Am I still in? Yes. The first 50 bonus is separate from the main prize pool. Your entry is judged like everyone else's.

When do I get paid? First 50 payments go out on a rolling basis, within ~5 business days of your entry being verified. Main prizes are paid within 7 days of the winners being announced.

Can I win both prizes, first 50 to deposit + main prize pool? Yes. The first 50 bonus is separate from the main prize pool, so you can win both. Your entry is judged like everyone else's.

Give your agent a wallet

If your agent has never paid for anything, this is a good week to change that. It takes a District Pass and a few minutes, and the quickstart covers connecting it to whatever your agent runs on.

Then give it a job with a price tag, and show us.
